RainforestEats
Started:
RainforestEats is a personal project that aggregates the daily cafe menus across all Amazon office locations, giving employees a single place to browse what’s being served and find food they actually want to eat. Instead of checking each cafe individually, users can see all menus in one view and filter by preference.
The site has around 50 weekly visitors and is live at rainforesteats.mihirdhamankar.com.
I created this because the default dining app (Thrive) requires you to click multiple times through its interface to even see all the food options in just 1 building. Finding the best thing to eat nearby becomes several minutes faster with my website. By looking at the Thrive network calls I was able to find the open API they use, allowing me to display and filter everything in one place. This website was made just as a quick, practical tool so several corners were cut when making design decisions - for one it is a static website!
